Straight From God's Corner by Brian L Steenhoek is an account of biblical lessons from the author's life, leading with a bible verse(s) and closing with a prayer written by the author. This is a non-fiction book that does not need to be rushed in reading. A person could read one teaching weekly, spread over a year. Each story has something to teach about accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

There is nothing I did not like or appreciate in the devotional lessons.

I think everyone can find belief and truth to trust the Lord in reading this book. This book is a Christian- faith-based book, but you need not be a Christian to pick up and read. There were several accounts in his life, that was if; he was telling a story about my life.

Straight From God's Corner brings back a memory(s) of your own life. My memory was target practice with a 4-10 shotgun at Willow Slough that my dad bought me for Christmas at the age of ten.

One story that I read that sounds like me now bothers me. I said life has made me a cold-hearted bitch speaking about myself. It was this I then read, that the author put in his devotional lesson.
"(Ezekiel 26-36 NIV). I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."

I give this book five out of five stars, a top rating due to the uniqueness of the material written in the book. This book is perfectly edited. Recommended reading is age twelve and up.

I must tell. I found a used signed copy of Straight From God's Corner on Amazon. I definitely will cherish this book.

It's wonderful how the author's biblical lessons resonated so deeply, even bringing back personal memories like your target practice. Your connection to the "heart of stone" verse really highlights the book's powerful impact. It sounds like a truly unique and enriching read for anyone, regardless of their faith journey. Thanks for sharing your experience, especially about finding that cherished signed copy.

I have always been of the view that any book that purports to teach about any particular idea or issue must always reference the very source, and hence I am happy that the author included appropriate Bible verses in this book. The fact that the book is also relatable makes it even more impactful. Thank you for the review, @Dea Ann Bridegroom.
