Supercharge Your Body and Brain Power: Talking About Adolescence by Eichin Chang-Lim is a book that helps readers understand how their bodies and brains work. The author provides steps to optimize growth and take control of our health. This is essentially a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. The author leaves readers with questions to ponder and reflect upon at the end of every chapter. This book provides readers with the required knowledge to make sound decisions in their lives and become successful and thriving adults. Readers get to learn how to recharge and nurture a developing body.

I like how the author made mention of certain changes in secondary sex characteristics. The author emphasizes that these changes are normal, and we should not feel embarrassed or scared of these changes, as everyone goes through them. I loved how the author included links to informative videos to help readers become well-versed in the topics. The author also includes biological images to help contextualize and emphasize the points being made. I was also able to learn and understand how the brain works at night and during the day. The author went in-depth, explaining different parts and their roles with diagrams to properly illustrate the explanations. When I say this book is filled with biological knowledge, I do mean it. The author also lays down the things that can be harmful to our brains.

I enjoyed how in-depth the author was while explaining certain topics to readers, as you could tell how the author researched properly and was well-equipped to speak on those topics. I fell in love with the author's conversational writing tone and totally enjoyed it. I could literally go on and on with things I loved about this book. I give this book a perfect rating of five out of five stars for the all-encompassing knowledge it provides to adolescents on how to properly take care of their bodies. I found no grammatical errors, as the book was properly edited. I had no dislikes and recommend this book to adolescents who want to improve their health and overall well-being.
