THE RED WAVE IMPERATIVE by Alan Schein is a non-fiction, political, social and economic book. The author claims it to be uncomfortably truthful and alarmingly political.

This book covers a large spectrum of the American country from economy to military, health to housing, education to religion, security to terrorism. It highlights the achievement made by president Trump and the great obstruction put by the Democrats and the so-called elites or “the deep state”, which is the media, billionaires, intelligence, big companies etc. All this he argues pursues a socialist agenda which will be fatal for the nation’s economy, he gives well-elaborated reasons why Americans should vote Republican and not trust the Democrats at the same time proposing a new form of democracy which he thinks will save America from imminent ruin.

The problem I had with this book is that the author is clearly a Republican and president Trump’s supporter, he finds everything democrat negative and everything republican positive and good for the nation, this brings about biases when articulating issues by the author, hence contrast with his claim that the book is uncomfortably truthful.

However I liked the fact that the book is well researched, every issue raised by the author came from different sources and reference links given for the reader to confirm and learn more, this opens up the reader to wide knowledge accumulation. There is great analysis, every issue is highlighted as a topic or subtopic then deeply expounded for layman’s understanding making the book suitable for all. The author went as far as providing maps, graphs and questionnaires to ensure the full concentration of the reader. The best part of this book is information; it greatly explained the structure and deep machinery of the USA executive, legislature and judicial system. An outsider like me who never set foot in the US was able to understand a lot about the structure of US legislation system and how election are organized and carried out. I was surprised to learn that even in America, corruption is rampant, myth Broken.

The purpose of the author is to influence voters to support the Republicans in midterm elections, he pushes to achieve this by being thorough, he raises challenges facing the government and gives the citizens his solutions in form of a new system of government he believes would work. I had a change of opinion about Trump after reading this book, it is very convincing.

The book is well planned and organized, it is professionally edited I only found one error in the book.it exhaustively tackle a wide range of issues that matter in American society, for this I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This book is suitable for anti-socialists, pro-republican/Trump and lovers of political books; it is also good for a reader who wants to understand the Republican point of view.
