Daniel Friedmann’s Roadmap to the end of days is a non fictional book about the time of the doomsday relating history with the coming world and Abrahamic religious accounts with scientific concepts. It also aligns chronological time with the Biblical time leading the readers to the understanding of the end times.

As the title of the book implies, it is actually a roadmap with the beginning and the end of human journey. It deciphers the mystery of creation, the incidents that follows and the future of mankind from a spiritual point of view. The author gives a vivid picture of the parallel course between the time period of the biblical history and recent history and then it comes to the conclusion indicating the exact year of the doomsday or the apocalypse. The seventh millennium is frequently mentioned in this book giving a glimpse of the life after doomsday. It also talks about the purpose of creation and human life.

This book can be easily understood by anyone as it has a glossary of terms and appendix explaining the difficult terms though it sometimes breaks the flow of reading. It also contains a good number of tables and graphs. The questions in the beginning of some chapters provoke thoughts and create an eagerness to read further in order to find answer. Not only this, at the end of the book, the author also opens a door to those who have questions for further clarification.

I enjoyed reading this book. It provides an ample source of understanding about the world to come, knowledge about various Jewish concepts and terms both oral and written. The most exciting part is where the author relates Abraham to the far east nations that is my place. I personally have been wondering about the close similarities between Jewish culture and our culture even if we follow a different religion. ( now I am a christian though). However, the concept of Adam and Eve giving birth to the Messiah if they had not eaten the forbidden fruit is not appealing. If they had not sin, there would be no need for the Messiah as the purpose of Messiah is salvation. I don’t agree with the author in this area.

I give Roadmap to the end of days a 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book for everyone both religious and non religious because it will be very helpful to those who are curious about the doomsday. And, those who don’t believe in such thing as end times can also read this book as it is no mere collection of random and baseless believes. It is logical and contains reasonable clues with clear explanation.
