One might expect a book about the End of Days to be dark, upsetting, and ominous, but that is not the case with Daniel Friedmann’s Roadmap to the End of Days. Friedmann spent 20 years as a CEO of a global technology company, and he is an expert on creation evolution as well as a student of religion. Due to his mixed background and various experiences, Friedmann has clearly mastered the art of marrying religious studies and interpretations with scientific observation, resulting in a detailed discussion on the End of Days written in a professional and persuasive style.

Roadmap to the End of Days is a collection of information broken up into chronological sections. In the first chapter, Friedmann conveniently lays out what is to come in the following chapters, and he goes on to provide a historical background of events leading up to the present day, as well as what humanity can expect to come in the future.

As an agnostic, I dove into the reading with an open mind, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover how much I enjoyed reading Roadmap to the End of Days. Friedmann’s writing style, which resembles that of a scientific text, was easy to follow, and he made constant references to Holy scripture to back up his arguments. Personally, I have always thought of science and religion telling the same stories using different language, and this text reinforced that idea. The concepts that Friedmann brought up, such as Free Will versus Divine Providence, mirror discussions going on in the realm of science, such as the philosophical physics conversation of free will versus the Law of Causation.

The amount of information that Friedmann is able to pack into a relatively short text is impressive. At times the topics can feel a bit rushed, but the ebook provides links to further discussion, whether that be in the well-developed glossary, an appendix, or to another chapter. Along with this handy feature, the format of the book is consistent and easy to follow, further supporting the professional and academic style of the writing.

I rate Roadmap to the End of Days a solid 4 out of 4 stars. Although I may not believe in all of the topics discussed, they are fleshed out well and properly supported with religious texts. Friedmann’s interpretations are not intimidating, overwhelming, or daunting; they are approached with an open mind and researched thoroughly, and the connections he makes between events that have happened and those to come are persuasive and logical.

Anyone interested in learning more about the End of Days would appreciate this book. Overall, Roadmap to the End of Days is a wonderfully organized, detailed, and eye-opening book that people of all religious or non-religious backgrounds can appreciate.
