Ananda Karunesh claims to have been in conversation with goddesses. He posed various questions to them and the answers he received are truly inspired. I am unfamiliar with this genre of writing but I am glad I came across this book. It was a very enjoyable and insightful read that gave me a lot to think about.

A Thousand Seeds of Joy answers life’s biggest questions. It explores a spiritual perspective in ways that even a person with secular leanings will find satisfactory. The author casts a wide net with his questions ranging from religion to why certain people are the way they are. Cleverly, he addresses each topic in its own chapter making the book easier to read. This also means that the reader can start with the topics that matter the most to them then come back to the rest later on.

I like the premise of this book; it embraces inclusivity and regards all religion respectfully. I don’t share the author’s religion but I found his views complimentary to my own. I would love to read other works by Ananda Karunesh, I would love to know what his views are on other topics.

I don’t recommend this book to atheists, it is rather suited to people who have already found their faith and are in need of something that affirms their belief. However, it is not likely to cause offense to non- religious persons. It might even assist them if they are seeking to grow spiritually. It is a book that seeks to enrich the human experience using religion and it does so superbly.

I wish this book had accompanying stories to all the teachings it offers. They could be real life or fictional and would serve the purpose of making all the teachings relatable. They would also pique the interest of people who don’t like to absorb information in a study text format, mostly young adults.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I loved the premise and I absorbed a lot of useful teachings from the author. As mentioned before, I also appreciate how well this book is segmented. Each question is addressed on its own for easy reference. I will be rereading some of them in the future. The language used is friendly and conversational; it also manages to evoke some curiosity. The author avoids grammatical errors making the reading experience less laborious.
