I don't think Zia is totally clueless here. She had her doubts, that is why she hired a private investigator to look into Baxter. I would say that she was blinded by lust. That is why she continues to be with him even after knowing that there's something wrong with him.

I don't think Zia was clueless or dumb, she was just emotionally bonded to Baxter. Zia's judgement was clouded by her emotions, and her logic was hijacked by her love for Baxter. So, even after seeing the obvious signs to leave Baxter, she didn't.

I dont think Zia is clueless but blinded by love. She know exactly the wrong doings of Baxter. Sometimes, when you love someone, you don't think about mistakes, even if they show you their reflection.

You know the saying: "Love is blind"? I think Zia was overtaken by her emotions and feelings for Baxter so much so that she overlooked a lot of warning signs. Yes she was a confident woman but the chemistry between her and and Baxter made her to lose her marbles somehow.

Zia is completely blinded by lust. And there is nothing wrong with that. People overlook and forgive the most horrid things when they are in love with someone. Zia demonstrated this perfectly when she kept ignoring the warning signs with Baxter. She saw the signs, but ignored them due to her lust.

Zia wanted to believe. She was innocent, not clueless. Although lust can easily be mistaken for love, I am sure that it wasn't the case here. Perhaps when one truly lives someone, it is easy to be blinded.

Honestly I am very much on the fence about this question. I think she is blinded by love. However, I also get the feeling that lust is mixed in with her relationship. I don’t see Zia as being clueless , but what I feel strongly about her character, is that she failed to notice negative aspects

Zia is herself a smart, ambitious woman. But her physical response to Bax and consequent emotional attachment made it impossible for her to realise any shadiness that was going on. The intense physical pleasure made her overlook the negative aspects of her lover. Love is blind, and so is lust.

Zia is not clueless at all. She was carried away by lust for Baxter. She loved with her heart rather than her head even when she was seeing negative signs.

I think Zia isn't clueless, she's just blinded by her affection. As the saying goes, love is blind. So even if she had seen more warning signs about him, they won't have made much difference to her.

In my opinion, she's neither. I think that she knows that some things are wrong but she doesn't accept it and ignores it by her own choice. She's definitely not clueless.

Zia was definitely blinded by a combination of both love and lust. To me that's the only thing that would explain why she'd continue being with him after all of the red flags.

Zia has fallen deeply in love, people turn to oversee peoples true colors when they are in love. I believe that she is blinded by lust, there is no way that she could not have noticed all the red flag. I know that when you have fallen in love no matter how smart you are you turn to ignore what you see and the emotions get the better of you.

I don't think Zia is blinded by lust, I see her as naive, ignorant and young. She chooses to ignore all the red flags about her murderous boyfriend not because of her undying love for him but her naivity or call her clueless if you will.
