Yes absolutely, somehow i had the impression that it was only about romance but as I read along I was shocked at the mixture of thriller, romance and suspense. It was an awesome read.

OMG, I also saw the switched up from romance to thriller, but I wasn't mad at it. I think it brought a different flavour in the book. It stood out from the rest, and that's what sets it apart from the rest.

I am most definitely annoyed at Zia for sleeping with Baxton. I expected there to be more of a confusion in Zia's mind. But she seemed clear that she wanted Bryce but somehow could not keep herself from Baxton.

I expected elements of the thriller genre, since it was announced on the plot, but not more than a minor story. I was actually pleasantly surprised when the book started paying less attention to romance to focus on the murder part.

From the book review murder was mentioned. But the book cover totally threw me off. So I expected it to be full of romantic sex scenes.

Did anyone else find it surprising that in Chameleons it wasn't just about romance? I thought the book was gonna just be about some love triangle with heated sex scenes. It definitely took me to a place I didn't expect with the plot of not just romance but of murders and who the killer was. Does anyone else go back and forth between being mad at Zia for sleeping with Baxton or is it just me? :?: :techie-studyingbrown:
I do too, but I think zia sleeping with baxton was necessary for the plot of the story cause that is actually almost the most important thing for the twist and the love triangle of it

For me, this book was the perfect combination of thriller and romance. It wasn't a surprise. I prefer this to a one-dimensional romance novel. As far as Zia goes, I was quite annoyed with her and the choice to sleep with Baxter. Especially when she went overseas with him and was doing the group sex thing after she already knew he was a murderer.

Yeah! It's surprising and amazing too. If there was only a love triangle and wild sex then only a few would be interested in it. I think it made Chameleons a lot more engrossing with mysteries and thrillers. Talking about Zia sleeping with baxton, majority of the reader did not like that move (including me)

From the information of the book I expected it to have a lot of tension. I'm just surprised by the level of mystery.

I was also surprised. It was not an unpleasant surprise for me, but I definitely was expecting more of a romance than a thriller/mystery.

I was not surprised because I knew the book was based on romance and love stories. The sex scene Zia had with Baxter did not surprise me much. Rather what surprised me was the idea of the serial killing. But the combination of both was awesome!

Chameleon was a pleasant surprise for me. I expected it to be a romance story. The crime and mystery was a welcome bonus that elevated the book. I was disappointed at Zia for sleeping with Baxton. Takes a good book to get readers invested in the characters.

I thought there would be minor mysteries and romance as major aspect of the story. But yeah I too get this sort of spoiler as you did and definitely I didn't like zia sleeping with Baxton. I’m a huge fan of horror/ thriller but I also enjoy romance. So getting to see both wrapped into one story was nice for me.
