For someone who was on the run, I did find it a bit strange. I think the author considered this as well, and thought it would be best if he was like that. I mean, his leaky mouth made me more concerned for him throughout the book, and I can say that I was a bit too attached to him as a result.

I found Rion's ease at divulging secrets annoying. I came to realise that he's a little naive and gullible. Plus, it might have been a way for him to unburden himself of the weight of all the secrets.

I think that Rion is very starved for someone other than Diana to pay attention to him. Therefore I don’t think that he has trouble keeping secrets, I think that telling what he knows to whoever will listen and seems interested gets him the attention he craves. He just doesn’t (or isn’t able to) think far enough in the future to examine the consequences of telling.

Rion's personality is purely ideal, as he is open and approachable to anyone. This author's inkling of attempting to make the protagonist's hallmark be like this didn't faze me. The only problem is, it is not always pertinent to trust people based solely on his impression and trust in them. Rion must acknowledge that he is a distinctive individual with bizarre mystical powers and should not publicize such stuff. But, considering his age, it is clear that he basically wants to develop a positive relationship with these people.

He was quick to explain anything and everything (flash drive, powers, info about mom etc.) to each person he met whether it was Pavo, the Predators, or Psyriin. What do you guys think? Was his almost constant cooperation surprising to you?
It's not surprising. Ruins character and his upbringing is just that way. For someone with his history, his constant cooperation wasn't surprising to me.

I must admit that I equally found it odd for Rion to trust almost everyone. What really intrigued me was the fact that he did not excercise restraint no matter how risky it seemed.

I was really surprised at this trait. I observed it from the opening chapters when Rion kept blurting out answers to Dee's questions. I wouldn't fault the story for this though, that's his personality which was consistent through the story.

I think Rion divulges information simply because he is young and trusting. He has had no reason to be secretive because he really didn't think he knew anything of value. Young people will trust others they want to be friends with or want acceptance from. I believe that with age comes wisdom.

I wouldn't want to say he didn't know how to keep secrets, some of the people I have across like to say a lot of things without them knowing that they are spilling some secrets. I think that was the situation of Rion. I wouldn't know his intention of spilling secrets knowingly.

I think that Rion really wants to make friends, at least subconsciously. I don’t think that he thinks that he is divulging secrets. He doesn’t want to hurt anyone, especially himself, but telling about things close to himself is the quickest way that he can think to do this. He doesn’t expect this to come back and bite him in the butt.

I think the common believe many people hold dear is that "you must trust others so that they also trust you." However, I realized that Rion didn't learn the limits of trust. Although such people like Rion do exist in real life, I think he was not being wise. This was one of the flaws in his character I realized.

I think Rion was a little too trusting of the people around him. This explains why he repeatedly divulged the secrets that he did. I think it played out this way because Rion is a fictional character. In reality, hardly would anyone be that gullible, especially under those circumstances.

It was a little frustrating to me that Rion could so easily trust anyone. He was however, a good person who felt that everyone was just as good as him. In my opinion, it was a bit excessive though. Nobody trusts anybody that easily.

I am of the opinion that it’s not about Rion’s inability to keep secrets. Rion just wants to be accepted and telling what he knows seems to him to be a good way of doing that. I don’t believe that he considers what he tells others to be secrets.

I was surprised at this trait. Especially when he impulsively divulged information about himself to Dee. Nevertheless, it made the book unpredictable and I like it so.
