I have read this book a few days ago and i find it quite mind blowing. I realized how bad i was in taking care of my health and my family. I remember an incident when my aunt suffer from high blood pressure as she is diabetes patient and she was facing difficulty in talking and her mouth was unconsciouslessly moving and i didn't knew what to do taht time. It was the time when i felt it was too bad in management of some patient. It give me a bunch pf lessons to apply and especially the heart attack section it is amazing as it gives an insight what should we do.

I really I came across this book before now, would have been able to help some accident victims I encountered last month and be more informed about healthy eating habits.

Last year I had a close cousin fracture her leg while cycling, and since we were in a location where we would not access emergency services immediately, we all had to endure her wailing while sitting doing nothing. had I read this handbook especially on the off grid management of such a situation and also considering we had access to materials required, we would have made her comfortable as we waited.

I moved to a remote tropical island a little over 20 years ago and we have faced medical emergencies countless times over the years. Our biggest issue was when our infant daughter stopped breathing. Thankfully we were able to get her medical attention in time but I always wondered what I could have done differently to prevent some of the lasting damage that took place. But there have been so many other instances as well - an elderly man having a heart attack and I was the only person available to help him, a man chopping his foot nearly off with a machete while cleaning coconut trees in my yard, my husband having a severe head injury when falling off the roof, a close friend falling from a coconut tree and shattering his legs, just to name a few. Fortunately in each of these instances, no deaths occurred. But it's always a good idea to be prepared. I've had to learn that the hard way.
So scary. I always think about moving to a remote location to "get away from it all" but then realize I'm getting away from helpful resources as well.

Wish I had it on hand when my mom was ill.
We were told (14 yo teenagers) to just call someone if anything happens to our mom.
The adults that came to help made it worse!
They tried their best and followed what they thought was the best coarse of action, but it was misinformation they had..

Heres the thing, unfortunately not everyone understands instructions the same.
When you have a group of people be told something. And later have them relay what you said to them, each person will say something different.

Reading on the other hand can be more efficient at relaying information.
The amount of misunderstanding is significantly lower!
It doesn't mean people would understand 100% or act like a medical professional, but at least they'll have some correct background information to keep them and others alive long enough, or at the least do the minimum to lessen the injury.
I agree. Reading the information from a medical professional is better than guessing. And with technology these days we can have that information with us. I have the Kindle app on my phone, so this book will always be with me.

This is one book that I am glad I read. A friend bought a copy for me as a gift and must confess that it is the best gift that I have received yet. I sat this because it has taught me a ton about how to be healthy, what to eat, and how to handle a sudden case of heart attack.

I wish I read this earlier. If I had, maybe I would have had the motivation I needed to take better care of my health

I wish I had read this medical handbook before, as it would be helpful.

Years ago, I was practising with a group at the beach and someone ran over us to ask for help because an elderly was unconscious near the sea. I wasn't prepared to handle such urgency, and I felt so impotent that I barely got the right number to call. Not that other people made better, but I wish I could be the 'saviour' at that time, at least by being more efficient in my approach to help him.

I do wish that I had read this book before because, there have been certain instances(sorry to not mention them) where incidents have happened and I honestly couldn't do much about those. Why? Because I lacked general knowledge on how to handle such problems. But from here onwards, with the knowledge from the book, I believe I could calm the situation until the medical professionals arrive on scene.

This book is advantageous for many people. I became aware of the many effects our little not so proper habits have on our health. I am now conscious of them. I definitely wish I had read this book before.

I definitely wish I read this book before. Being a mother so many medical challenges come with caring for a child. One time my daughter got feverish and within no time she started having convulsions and couldn't breath. If I had an idea of what to do I probably wouldn't have freaked out so much.

I wish I knew this book before now. A friend of mine had a health challenge of indigestion. I would have offered emergency help that night it happened. I am glad I know better now.

I definitely wish that I'd come across this book a while back. A year ago, my niece fell off a two-storey building and fractured her limbs. We didn't know what to do then and even thought that all hope was lost. However, reading this book showed me the much that we could have done as a family, to prevent long-lasting effects that resulted from the fault.

I personally wish I had read this book earlier, now I am very conscious about exercising daily and eating healthy. I now live a healthy lifestyle thanks to this medical handbook. I would always use the information in the book as an aid when needed as it is useful for professionals and non professionals.

I wish I read this book earlier, the teachings about healthy eating and exercise would have kept me away from being overweight right now. However, having taken lessons from the book I'll be able to better my health and attain a healthier weight with time.
