Ghosts/horror Books Discussion

Post by gali »

For this month, we will read Thrillers/horror Books.

Here are some guiding questions:
  • What are you reading/have read for this month?
  • Were there any other genres featured in that book?
  • What are some characteristics that you see in the book that seem unique to the genre?
  • What rating would you give this read?
  • Would you recommend the book you read? Why or why not?
  • Targeted audience?

I have read Lakesedge (World at the Lake's Edge #1) by Lyndall Clipstone and recommend it. It is a dark, gothic fantasy about monsters and magic, combines horror and fantasy. I gave it 3/4 stars since some parts dragged and the main character was a bit irritating.

Well, I finally finished my read of Rolling in the Deep by Mira Grant.

I obviously loved it, murder mermaids are awesome!
I just wish I could've read it before I read Into the Drowning Deep.

That said, even knowing some things, it was still really enjoyable. Plenty of gory horror, and a spectacular set up for anyone who hasn't read Into the Drowning Deep.

What is grief, if not love persevering?

Grief is just love with no place to go.

I would recommend The Vampire Secret by Tricia Barr. It is a classic drama type book. Interesting
