A no go zone for me..this is a mental condition that has its effects not only to the individual but trickles to the family and the entire society. The healing through John is just traumatizing to me.

I do not crave to have John's amnesia experience. I don't like wishing bad things upon myself. Plus I feel like amnesia makes you lose who you really are, your identity. But I would understand why others would the author's writing was very compelling.

John's amnesia might be helpful and useful at the moments that they were in the book. Barring this, I do not wish either crave to have amnesia.

There were times when I envied John's amnesia as I was reading the book, but in all honesty, I like being in control and I think forgetting some memories would be additional trauma.

There are some life experiences that one would wish to forget and that's understandable. However, amnesia won't solve the problem as experiences have lessons to be learnt from it no matter how painful it could be. We need those lessons so that we can avoid that experience.

I think craving an Amnesia experience is a little insensitive, it was well written and exciting in the book but when its real, its scary so I wouldn't want it.

Not at all. Amnesia is a scary concept for a control freak like me. However, I enjoyed reading about john's amnesia experience, and I understand how reading Kendall's book could make the idea of having amnesia attractive for some people.

His amnesia was appropriate for him and advantageous only in the highly fictitious circumstances of this book. In real life it would be a massive impediment.

I would never want to experience John's amnesia. Living without memories amd starting over just seems like a lot of work. Maybe temporarily, for like a week or two could be an interesting experience. But that's about it, no more than that.

In spite of the fact that John's amnesia had some benefits and he still received credit for the building, I really enjoyed this book. However, amnesia is not something I would ever want to experience. It is preferable to face life head-on rather than try to find a way out.

Even though he had some wonderful experiences following his forgetfulness, many others will not crave to have amnesia just because they read about a certain narrative; it's not a sickness they will wish to encounter.
