It could either mean just a building structure or the hard work and dreams John hopes to achieve.

For John, the building stands for what he said in both of his interviews. He felt free after the terrorist attack. I don’t entirely agree with him. It’s definitely a very controversial thing to say when terrorism is such a hot button topic. People were killed in that attack and he “felt free” after the attack.

Zenith means the highest point symbolically referring to John's desire to achieve the highest architect dream of all. Also, this can mean the desire to be recognized not only by other architects but also the entire world as people will refer to it as being the highest building.

It's a symbol of doubt for him. If all the sacrifices were indeed worth it. If indeed he is truly the designer. It stands to question and cast aspersions of his abilities and potential.

The building stands for John's attainable dreams. But it will also remind him what it took him to get there.

The Zenith skyscraper symbolizes John's achievement of his goals and success in his line of work, but it came at a high personal cost.
