After John's accident, all those around him behave as if he were the architect of the new Zenith building. For everybody else, the building represents the idea of freedom and the triumph of life after the terrorist attack. What do you think the building means for John? Why can't he see the building plans or look at the building itself?

i think he could have seen who did the attack and let it happen, he didn't do anything to try to stop the attack or he knew about the attack before hand and didn't tell anyone about it, the fact that many people were injured and died because of you can definitely leave a mark on you and it could even trigger his amnesia as a mechanism to not loose your mind

I think the Zenith Building stands for John's potential. Though he had a small architecture practice that was surviving, John always dreamt of designing big buildings like the Zenith. The Zenith stood for John's career potential and its destruction offered him an opportunity to realize this potential. Its Destruction can be compared to the destruction of John's former self; the small architect with loads of hope and big dreams. The need for replacing the building presents a fresh slate. One for the ideals the building stands for and another for John's career. But it seems already, from the onset, that John isn't exactly utilizing this clean slate well when he decides to hide his amnesia, further muddying the waters he was already in.

The Zenith Building stands for John's realization of his dream and recognition in his chosen field of profession. However, the price it took to achieve such objectives might have involved some shady truth which made him feel conflicted to admit it. Thus, he went into defensive mode and played the amnesia card.

This building represents the zeal and visions blended with the potential in John in his chosen path of career. Though fighting amnesia,John does his survey anyway and gives his all on the success of the building reinvention.

The building stands for John's attainable dreams. But it will also remind him what it took him to get there.

I choose to look at it as a structure, but which was probably a national significance, and was possibly an admired monument. Just liked Egypt's pyramids, or France's Eiffel Tower.

The building represents his chance to make it big or to achieve his dreams of being a more well-known, more successful architect. He is desperate to do more than he has in his career to date. He is frustrated in his career and he is trying to force a situation where he can prove himself and get ahead.

I think, as a couple of others do, that the building is a representation of John's career dreams or career potential. A victory, but not without heavy cost.

I think the building stands for all that John had ever worked for and all he wished to achieve

I think to John the building stood for his big break. His way into the prestigious architect life that he really wanted. He was tired of being the creator of just another building. He wanted to be the creator of a important building.

I think John saw the building as his future; his way of making a mark on the world. He believes he is important and this was the way to show it. The amnesia was his way of protecting his dream.

I could definitely see that perspective. He left a middling architectural firm with small successes, but the biggest building in a city would be a crowning achievement. Good thought.

What if the Zenith Star is a reflection of John. He was a big shot architect, but there was nothing really amazing about him: like the zenith Star building, he described it as a big shot skyscraper, but nothing pretty about it.
