Being someone that loves to take in all the suspense a book provides, when I came across that part of the book, I didn't bother trying to figure things out. Also, there were no pointers in the book to suggest that the explosion was indeed caused by terrorists, so no, I didn't guess right, or I didn't guess at all.

Being from the U.S., I assumed it was a terrorist attack based off the 9/11 attacks. And since this was supposed to be a psychological thriller, it wouldn't have been as impactful if the building collapsed due to technical difficulties.

I did not guess while reading the book, but I would say that the collapse caused by terrorist activities was quite an expected cause for me, given the countless terrorist cases in the media today.

There have been speculations about what might have caused the explosion and just like you, I do not have enough information to say, with all conviction, what was responsible for the catastrophic happening.

I couldn't guess the real cause of the explosion and I was eager to read the following chapter to know who really caused it and the Consequence.

For me, it was a no-brainer as to who was behind the destruction of the building. Having lived in NYC during 911, it's the first thing that pops into my head when anything like this happens, whether in fiction or reality. I've also read enough novels in which the culprits seem to be Middle Eastern, however unfortunate that may be.

This is one of the events in the novel that had me on the verge of jumping out of my skin. I was really curious about the reason of the explosion that destroyed the Zenith Star building. I honestly had no idea what caused the destruction, and I didn't even associate it with terrorist activity.

I didn't think it was a terrorist attack, I was thinking it was a sort of conspiracy. But then I got to discover how wrong I was.

I was waiting to read further into the story to find out, but I had an inkling it would be terrorist attack. Not surprising plot for book of this genre.

I followed the cue in the book's opening pages that it might have been terrorist-related. There was nothing in the book as I read on that made me change this position.

I can't say it didn't cross my mind because I tried to visualize myself in that city while reading the book but as you said there was no evidence to support my thought.

I didn't guess a terrorist attack would cause the collapse of a building. Many things could make a building collapse so I didn't bother guessing since I know it would be revealed.

I knew the book would give me a resolution eventually so I didn't spend much time theorizing as to it's cause. But I was quite satisfied with the cause when it was finally revealed.

Honestly, I don't guess or use my brain to solve tragedies or even find out the culprit. So, I neither guessed it right nor I tried to use my brain; I waited and read the whole book to find out.😁😁

I initially recognized it as a terrorist attack. To blow up a large facility like that, high-level planning is required; otherwise, one could have assumed the CIA was responsible for breaching the high level security.
