It's really hard to figure why things are named as such but sometimes an author cooks up something symbolic for a character, a street or building and other times it is we the readers that manage to look at a mundane name chosen by the author in new light.Gloria Edmund wrote: ↑26 Nov 2021, 02:32I agree with your theory of how the Zenith building was named.Miracle Chidera 1 wrote: ↑24 Nov 2021, 12:02 It's really hard to answer this question. Author's generate names based on different factors, so it relies solely on how he got his names. But the Zenith building is pretty obvious to me. Zenith means the highest point or state, peak. It represents the best of John's architectural achievements.
I believe in most cases, authors choose the names for cities, places and their characters based on what sounds fitting, symbolic reasons that add to the plot, or it could be completely randomised for all we know. Or it could be a combination of all three factors.

Kudos to the author for all the hard work in naming all the buildings.

Only the author knows why he gave different things different names.
One thing I am certain of is that names have power and meaning.
The author's choice of names reflects his inner thoughts.
