My favorite character was William. Throughout the novel, he seemed be true to his character. From the beginning, his stance on race and his intentions were very clear. Many of the characters were written to see beyond Lily's race. In the end it was William how tried to stand up for her, as he did in the beginning and middle.

I really like lily with all her braveness and strength, her personality it a very wonderful one. But I'd take her dad William as my best character, he was so supportive and loving. I think lily owes him lots of appreciation so it's Willam for me

So many differing and unique characters are found in the book, thereby making it an arduous task to choose any.

Lily stood out for me. She is unbelievable, and her consistency, all through the book, is second to none. I admire her.

I like Lily's character. She is brave, smart and talented. Her brave trait and the ability to stand up for herself is what I like most about her character.

My favorite character is Lily. She is beautiful inside and out. She is humble and sincere, and her hardships made her grow into a strong and brave woman.

My favorite character from the book is William because he's character is thoroughly well-developed including a heart warming background that justifies his actions especially towards Lily. He is a pivotal character in the story as well and is of great importance to Lily's growth/success in the book. Overall, William is the my favorite character because he is the most human and has the best qualities to me.

I don't have a favorite but I did like the character growth of Lily. Trying her best instead of excusing her way out of life.

William! I adores Lily and James until he broke my heart at the end, but William was pure, loving and had the traits of a perfect mentor.
