Lily and William. Lily because she's strong and no matter what gets thrown at her she rises above it. William because of his relationship with Lily and looking after her like she was a daughter.

LILY! Throughout the novel, I couldn't get enough of Lily's character. I truly like how the author moulded her character in light of the situation. As a result, it needs to be Lily for me.

Definitely Lily because I admire her bravery. I aspire to have her confidence one day. But all the characters were unique in their own way and it was refreshing seeing so many different kinds of people.

What appeals to me is not the person but the traits they possess. Lily from a humble background suffers in childhood but her determination, kindness she breaks from the chains of slavery to become an independent woman who is still cares for others.
James though possessive takes a risk to assist others like Lily against the expectations of the society. To stand for his feelings against the society appeals to his traits he is a fighter though at times became hostile to Lily.

I must say I enjoyed Lily's character, hence my favourite character. Though she had a difficult upbringing but she was strong enough not to see her difficulty as a reason to give up but instead as a motivation to stand out and influence others positively.

Lily's strength, growth, optimism and innocence in a difficult life makes her my favorite character in this novel. I thought her character was beautifully written.

I loved Lily's character as she used her music to connect people and break down barriers. On the other hand, the various elements encompassing James's character make him complex and a joy to experience in the book. But my absolute favorite was William. He seems like such a warm and genuine person. He is the type of mentor that I would love to have in my life. Overall, I thought the characters were well written and I enjoyed getting to know them.

The character I genuinely enjoyed reading is Lily, of course. She is just so passionate, and despite being through a lot, she's still being positive and cheery. Her skills are also admirable.

I loved the Lily. She was so passionate. I also enjoyed her perspective on what was happening to her. I felt so sorry for her when James kept her in the dark about his intentions.

This is a tough one, but I have to say Lily. She endures lots of suffering growing up. Though discouraged, she didn't totally give up but developed a soft spot to love and trust again.

My main favourite character would be Lilly for how brave and full of sunshine she was despite being a slave. My next favourite character would be Landon for how smart and skilful he was.

Lily comes across as a strong, independent, and brave character, and nothing appeals to me more than that.

My favorite character is Lily. I admire her bravery. Being able to learn the piano alone is quite thrilling. I also love Williams, but Lily more.
