I haven't read them but, I think reading them will help to understand this part the more

I am currently reading 'Adrift' which is the second book in the series, and am hooked! I haven't read the first, but am okay because it is serving well as a stand alone.

Yes I have, and they are all different books. The author took a unique approach where the characters are the same but the main characters are different. There are pros and cons about that approach, because I like some characters better than others.

I have read Adrift and I can confidently say I was not disappointed, Will really love to read strong heart in the near future.

I have read all of the books. I liked this one the best. What is different is that the author creates stories about the supporting cast and how they relate. So each book has a different protagonist. I recommend them all, but be aware, if you read it for one character, they won't be the lead in the next.

I think that reading the prequels would be a good thing because it helps a reader understand the entire message of the author. The author fused in some segments to help us understand, but then the picture of the standlone is narrower than that of the series.

The prequels, which I did not read, I believe would have contributed to the development of the characters on a deeper level. Apart than that, I thought it could be read on its own without any problems. I didn't feel like I was missing anything from the earlier volumes that would have made it difficult for me to comprehend the events in this book.

No, I haven't read them. I enjoyed reading part three as a stand-alone, but plan to read the first two.

I particularly like to read all the series in order, the prequels, even if they come out later (in some cases), it is good to read them in their respective order to achieve a complete understanding of the story.

No I haven't but I think reading prequels was a bit cool.

I have not read them. I enjoyed Totem thoroughly--themes, writing style, plotting, and characterizations--now I want to read the other two. However the book is a good standalone, I think. The dreamy mystical quality of it allows for not really knowing what happened before.

I haven't read the Prequels to the Totem but Myra keeps referring to the past that makes you feel that the author missed some information but you realise it was you who missed prior books.
