Sarah was easily my favourite character in the book. She was brave, consistent and truly inspiring. I learnt a lot about life and it is being unfair sometimes through the eyes of Sarah and also a learnt a lot by the way she handled her obstacles.

Just like in movies, I tend to like the protagonists in books. Sarah exemplified the strength of a woman. She was strong-willed, brave, and charismatic. She was my favorite character.

Sarah is so self aware and culturally driven that I fell in love with her personality the first time I encountered her while reading the book.

I liked all the characters in Totem; however, my favorite character is Sarah Cooley. She is fearless, brave, self-confident despite all she has gone through and how she is really into her culture.

If I had a carry-over favorite from the first two books, it would be William, probably because he is closer in age to me than many of the others. But specific to this book, I would say that my favorite character is Victoria. I was taught from an early age to watch out for the true protagonist in a book, with the qualification being that the protagonist is the one who is changed the most within the confines of the story. For me, this would be Victoria, a professional woman in a sea of men, and, essentially, a single mother. She digs deeply into herself and second-guesses her values and goals, eventually throwing caution to the wind and standing up for that in which she most believes, the truth and her personal integrity.
Indeed. It is difficult to choose a favorite, and Victoria would have been my pick as well. But Sarah is just too good to ignore. So I would just say it is a tie, Victoria and Sarah are both fantastic characters.
