I first read Adrift before reading Strongheart. Some incidents from the first book were mentioned in the second book. However, it didn't dampen my interest and understanding. On the whole, I feel it is worth reading this series in order to gain overall satisfaction.

I haven't yet read the prequels but I'm definitely going to. I think this book can be read as a standalone. But I think if a reader wants to understand everything better reading the books in chronological order would be best.

I haven't read the prequels, but I think reading them can make one appreciate this more than just reading the third book.

I haven't read the prequels to this book. I enjoyed reading the book and I think that it can be read as a standalone book. The author's reference to previous events in the other books make you feel that you are missing some part of the storyline. It is advisable to read the prequels to get a better understanding of the characters and plot.

I haven't yet read the prequels but am interested in doing so as I believe they will provide an additional depth of understanding and background to Totem.

I haven't read the prequels yet but I'd definitely love to. Though , I think this book could do quite well as a standalone, it is still important to read the prequels for a deeper insight into the whole story and to satisfy all curiosities.

I haven't read the prequels but I think I'll definitely read them because it'll give me a much deeper understanding of some aspects of this third book. But it is fine as a standalone book.

I haven't read the prequel to the book. I plan on doing that soon. But I didn't feel left out or anything since this book can be read as a standalone.

I think reading parts one and two of the series will help one have a deep understanding of the entire story. However, I have read the part three and it can be regarded as a standalone books,.

I have not read the prequels to this book. And it is evident that the author made reference to stuffs in those other books to show it is not a standalone. However I did find meaning reading just this book. It is easy to flow with aswell. But it would have been great had I read them too

Charlie Sheldon is an amazing author. I believe the book does well as a standalone novel, but I would love to see what is in store for the readers in the prequels.
