I think learning the language of a new place certainly enhances good relations irrespective of the purpose of the visit. I don't believe it weakens the soldier. What better way to know the enemy than to understand them. And in some situations, it paves the way for compromise.

I think learning the language of the people during war is important. This is because it is part of the defensive mechanism to know when something is being plotted against you.

Learning a language of a new place helps send a signal of humility and willingness to cohabit and relate with their customs and traditions. So learning their language could be a significant start in ending a war before it even started.

I think learning the language of the place you're staying in can never be a disadvantage. Being too attached to a person or not depends mainly on how you treat them, so that can be dodged or reinforced by the added behavior of the person, depending on what they want to communicate. But the language, even it will break some kind of barrier between humans, is still not the strongest aspect of how we relate to each other.

I think that learning a new language is just a skill. It is just for better communication with the locals and sometimes, it will also help him to know the plans of the enemies. So in my opinion, it will not weaken the soldiers.

Do you think learning the language of a new place you visit a good relations opportunity while on a war, or will it weaken the soldier by making the soldier attached to the people he is supposed to be fighting.
This is a difficult question to answer, personally, I would say it will only make the soldier pull his punches. However, it might also help him in case he finds himself in difficult situations.

Learning a new language opens up new opportunities for the soldiers as they would connect with their people better. Also it somehow helps them to know the strategies of their enemies in war.

Learning and adopting a new culture, such as language, has positive and negative sides, for a soldier especially. On the negative, just as you highlighted, it predisposes one to unforeseen attachment hence negatively affecting an operation. However, it comes in handy when an undercover cop is in the midst of a crime syndicate plotting crime using their local dialect, which the soldier understands. He/she can utilize the information to prevent crime from happening.

The question can be interpreted variedly, but I believe learning a language can be very vital to building a good relationship with the opposing team. However, it should not serve as a move for bad faith or intention.

While learning the language is an advantage in many areas such as taking a more bad motive opportunities, it is not the best way to subjugate absolute mayhem. Maybe they could use it to reconcile rather than reinforce the battle. Hence, learning it is imperative, yet it could be used in the proper manner.

When you learn the language of a place you stay. You not only show them how much you admire their culture, but you also show them respect.

Language is something that could make or mar one in a land where he knows no one. Language would help soldiers buy the pity of the people and this is an important survival instinct
