At first, I thought the cover was quite confusing and a bit vague. But after reading, the message on the artwork became clearer to me.
I'd say the cover is well suited to the book.

The cover is well illustrated. I wouldn't think of racism when I first glimpse at the cover. I would probably think the book is about women's struggle or sexism and a black man witnessing all that in a country foreign to him. I see most people saying that they would pass on this book because of the cover and I think I understand because the storyline is about Vietnamese war, and the cover just don't go together.

For me, the art cover tells a deep story. At the front is a case of brutality by a security agent, while some civilians just stand and watch. What could be going through their minds? At first glance, it tells so much about what the story entails. It is enough to make one want to see how it goes. It is a sharp one for me.

I think its brilliant and speaks to the violence in the book. At first one may not get it but once you read the book, it becomes clear

I also think the book cover relates the content in the book, as the art cover is centred more on racism. This is shown clearly in art cover as it shows a woman being beaten by a policeman.

We can't overlook the racial aspect of this book, the way the blacks were been treated. War is not something we pray for or wish to experience.

I definitely believe the cover of this book displays a deep racial problem rooted in our world through art. Not only this but the cover sets the tone of the books and really shows the violence of not only the book but of problems we face today.

The book cover conveys the author messages though this is understood when you are done reading the book.

I think it was very retro in appearance. All though it had a lot going on, but I feel it was able to very well depict the chaos that was the Vietnam war.

I assume it is the very large billboard that the author refers to in the book. Three people are looking at it. The two pointing at the billboard are wearing traditional Vietnamese nón lá and the other person is a black man. To me the image on the billboard is a representation of oppression by a figure of authority. Racism is implied because the woman in the image has dark skin, she is being beaten by a policeman/security guard and attacked by a police or guard dog. Perhaps it depicts some Vietnamese citizens pointing out an example of the racism they know Springer is subjected to within the US and within the army, wherever he is.

The cover of the book feels like a reflection of the book. Racism, war, crimes, and the likes, seemed unrelated at first, but as one delves into the book, it starts to make sense.

The cover portrays a black woman being clobbered by a uniformed white man as an audience of different ethnicities watches. I think this portrays how a person of color is treated and no one has the courage to help them out.

The cover page introduces the reader to the books theme and content, it's a glimpse into the content of the book. The chaotic cover was an eye catcher. It is appropriate based on the books theme.
