How do you pick a favorite scene when all the scenes in the book stood out for you? I loved almost everything about the book, hence I'm finding it hard to pick one.

I favoured that scene too. One phrase that told Billy Springer he was accepted, trusted and connected to the Vietnamese citizens he worked so hard to relate to.

You and me both. I could not believe my eyes when I read that. This just reminds me of when a government uses the military or police force to oppress its own people. I always wonder why those officials allow themselves to be used in that manner when they too are treated no better by the government.

That scene is also one of my favorites. The hurt and confusion behind the words could be felt by the reader. It was extremely thought-provoking and eye-opening.

This was also my favorite part of this book.

The toughest thing I can think of to do is choose a favorite scene from this amazing book. The time I spent reading this captivating book was enjoyable. Billy Springer is deserving of praise for a job well done.

The book had a lot of wonderful scenes. But, the one that strikes me most is when the Vietnamese asked the soldiers why they are joining forces with their oppressors. The question is deep.

This novel is terrific and has a lot of amazing scenes. It's difficult for me to choose just one scene. The book as a whole was written well.

The scenario when the Vietnamese question the author and other black people whether they are also oppressing them is one that I believe I also enjoy. It was a thrilling situation.

I love Vietnam the country, so I actuall preferred the parts when there were descriptive scenes of the country or Vietnamese people.

My favorite portion of the book was without a doubt the scene where the Vietnamese asked the author and the other black males a question. I agreed with the question's depth while shaking my head.
