This book's cover conveys a lot of information about the content inside. Many people would simply skip it, but that wasn't the case for me.

A black guy watches as a lady is thrashed by a police officer on the cover. The cover is very detailed, explicit, and important. It demonstrates how black people are treated and the reluctance of other black guys to engage in such behavior because of the results.

From the cover art alone i had a rethink on why should i consider this book. However, going deeper into the narrative, i understand why the display of violent art work. If i were the author, i would have used a used a different concept to appeal to my readers. The art is a deviation from the content even though it desperately tries to create a linkage.

I like the cover. It made me want to find out what the book is all about.

At first glance I agree the cover doesn't really look relevant to the title, but it makes more sense when you read the book and understand what it's about.

In all honesty, if I had judged this book solely by its cover, I probably would have ignored it. I am aware that you should never judge a book by its cover, but this one did not pique my curiosity about what was inside.
