The cover is appropriate for the book. It succinctly captures the major theme in the book which is racism. However, it may not be completely clear at first what the book is about just by looking at the cover.

I didn't like the cover. I think a cover should be eye-catching. Without reading the reviews on the book, I would've never thought about reading it.

I think the art cover of the book was a good choice. It shows racism which is the most dominant theme in the novel.

The cover confused me at first. I didn't see how it would relate to the title. After reading the book, it made better sense to me. Based on my first glance at the book, I didn't feel compelled to read it. But after going back and looking at it in more detail now, I think it is okay. I don't think it was the best choice, however.

The cover seems very chaotic and there isn't one thing that the attention is drawn to. Saying this, there are smaller images that you look for add to the book. There are important details to be found and it does add to the interesting affect of the cover.

I must say that I still have my reservations with the cover, at first glance, it isn't one of my favorites; however, once you get into the story you get to understand the meaning of the cover. I think a little more elaborate work could do a better job than the current cover.

I think the art cover portrays what is happening in the book. The white uniformed man beating a black woman, shows the racial discrimination written about in the book. The locals pointing, shows that they don't support that. And the writer standing with the locals indicates his close relationship with them.

I think the art cover gives us a little sneak peek as to what the book is all about. It shows racism and that is one theme pronounced in the book.

I think it is a completely appropriate cover. It also gives you an idea of what would possibly be the theme of the story. Though I had a moment of confusion with the correlation of the title to my assumption of the theme when I first saw it.

The cover of the book briefly illustrates what the story is all about but someone can give a different idea by looking at the picture.

I found the cover artistic, realistic and very relatable. It did a good job of portraying the theme of the book and definitely sparks interest in reading.

Honestly, in my opinion, the cover of the book is very confusing, chaotic and disturbing. The cover literally put me off and I didn't want to read the book at all. But as we say don't judge a book by its cover, I read the book and actually enjoyed it. But the cover could have been much better.

As the saying goes "don't judge a book by its cover", one may not know the relevance of the cover. After reading, I found the cover to be quite relevant to the story.

Chaotic is the exact word to describe it. That's exactly what the author intends to portray in the theme of the book.

I think the cover is well-related to the book. I just think there might have been a different way to convey the same message of racism and oppression with a different cover. This cover does not catch the eye, which I worry will turn away readers before even giving it a go.
