When Bradly watched her mom die. I was so touched that I didn't know I was crying.

It was depressing and sad to see Brandy's mother killed right before her. Dying just to save her was a true show of a mother's love.

When Brandy had to watch her mother be killed. I don't think anyone can ever recover from that.

When Brandy's mother, knowing death was inevitable at that point, made sure Brandy could escape and have a different life should she wish to do so; mentioning the curse was a bold and smart move.

The most emotional part of the book has to be when Brandy’s mother dies on the ship in front of her. However, I want to give an honorable mention to the epilogue. Learning about Brandy having her own children was very heartwarming, and I’m glad that she got to have a happy ending after the trauma she went through.

Yes I totally agree. It was so heartbreaking and you cannot help but feel for her. I can't even imagine what that would be like.

I was very touched when John noticed that Ralphie was struggling with the death of Jacob and had him go 'clean his cabin.' It was very older-brotherly and I loved seeing the older characters' sensitivity towards the younger characters throughout the book.

Thoughts of a Mother's love are usually overwhelming for me. Hence, the most emotional part for me was Brandy having to watch her mother die. What's even more touching is having to set her grief aside to focus on her survival, which is why her mum died.

For me, it's the murder of her mother right in front of her. When I think about it, I'm still in anguish. It's a very heinous act.

The most event that got me emotional was when Brandy's mother sacrified herself to save her daughter. It was touching and showed us to always appreciate are mothers as they do anything for their children.

It's even more touching when the mother is the Scarlett Mistress, one of the most ruthless women on the sea. It's heartwarming to see that deep mother's love when nearly every other part of her heart has been hardened by life as a pirate.

For me the most heart touching event in the book was the death of his mother. I can not imagine how someone will feel when his or her mother die. That is very painful.

I'm not sure if i can accurately label it as "heart-touching" but the scene where Brandy's mother hung herself left an early but unforgettable memory in my mind.

I can't possibly even begin to imagine the trauma that comes from witnessing the death of anyone, let alone your parent.
