Zhang was definitely my favorite supporting character. The way he helped Brandy was a major turn on.

I loved Zhang Yong! He was such a loyal friend and teacher. The author was able to allow the reader to see how much he cared through the building of his character's story line.

I would simply give it to Skinner. As someone who has the same situation with which I was also adopted by my uncle, I am seeing him as the purest. His character made me admired more of him after the revelation of their connection.

I think Raphie and Captain Joshua made the most impressions on me. I would say they are my pick for best-supporting characters.

I liked Davonte. She was so sweet and caring. No matter what, she always stood by Brandy's side. In my mind, Davonte is the definition of a true friend.

Zhang Yong indeed played the greatest role in Brandy’s flourishing. Despite her innate bravery, this has been intensified by Master’s assistance. Hence, I would simply picked him.

My favorite was Zhang Yong. I loved the fighting style he brought to the mix and how his lessons in patience and balance helped to develop Brandy into a true Pirate Princess. His knowledge of medicine and his musical talents also added to the depth of his character and made him an excellent addition to the book. I don't think Brandy would have been able to use her mother's vengeful fighting style to conquer her enemies. How would the book be different without the transformation he helped initiate? What was your favorite thing about Zhang?
For me, it's Skinner. Loyalty is very rare to find in people. Also, taking care of someone who has lost her parents is not an easy task at all. Thee are very few persons that would readily take up that responsibility.

I also enjoyed Zhong. His role in Brandy's life cannot be over-emphasized. He helped shaped Brandy's life and prepared her for later fights.
