The theme of self sacrifice was my favourite in this book. Brandy's mother sacrificed herself and her freedom just to protect her daughter. This was quite a selfless thing to do.

A lot of themes were engaged in this book, but to name a few; family, love, choices and the main theme which is betrayal was also engaged in the writing.
Many books can inform you but there's only one that can transform you(The Holy Bible). Pls don't forget to drop a comment for this review. Thanks. :D :tiphat:

Now this is a very wide area. There are many. The most likely, to me, is struggle for survival as Brandy is usually in fear for her life.

Love and romance is also another theme since Brandy did have relationships. It is an evident one, too.

Betrayal too. The piracy business was full of them, especially now that Brandy's dad had died and their was need for an heir.

That's true. Loyalty is clearly evident through this. Also, there is sacrifice. Brandy's mom sacrificed so much for Brandy.

I did found other themes like love, unity and strong mentality and my favorite theme, that is, survival even in the most difficult situations.

The themes of this book are love, loyalty, resilience, betrayal, slavery, and adventure. The theme of loyalty is what makes Brandy's mother's death so hurtful. Brandy's resilience is seen throughout the book. In all, it is a perfect pirate story!

For me it' a mix of loyalty and definitely betrayal. Loyalty/sacrifice between Brandy and her mother. Other themes noticeable are love, family, friendship and survival.
