The antagonists failed in their missions so many times. The only mission they succeeded is killing Brandy's parents.

The antagonist seems weak but I think his character fit the setting.

I completely agree. He didn't seem very competent in his job as the 'resident villain' and hence, just undermined parts of the plot for me.

I was somewhat disappointed cause I expected a more stronger antagonist.

I don't have any issues with the antagonist, but I did feel that the character could be better somewhere in the middle.

I feel like the antagonist wasn't fierce enough. I expected a much stronger opposition.

I hated the antagonist. He was nothing without his guards. I wish his character was better developed

The antagonists are just incompetent. They get their dirty laundry done by their minions and are incapable of doing anything themselves.

I thought the antagonist didn't try as much. He made things seem so easy for the opponent especially in the last battle.

I do enjoy a strong villain but the antagonist didn't meet my expectations. Apart from that, the book was a good read

Two years ago, I might have been peeved at Don Lomoche's character, but I've seen a lot of whack villains since then, he's just another one.

Yes, definitely. The antagonist were weak and didn't bring that much into the story.

I found Don Lomoche to be a failure as an antagonist, he definitely did not live up to the typical "bad guy." I also think that Brandy's parents were antagonists, as they should have wanted more for their daughter other than being a pirate.

It doesn't help when the antagonist is portrayed as incompetent. It reduces the tension and conflict with the protagonist which should form the highlight of the book.

Don is not as strong of an antagonist as I wanted him to be. It might have been that his character was not developed enough and hence made him seem incompetent. He is just not that thrilling to read about.
