Geena had love for everyone including her murderous father. She even fabricated a story of how good he was to her own children making him a hero yet he wasn't.

Beth was married to her husband Kevin for many years without knowing how dark & twisted he was. The irony of the situation is that Beth was shot to death by the man she supposedly knew and trusted.
