I learnt in this book that your situation now can not determine what you will be. Brandy was strong and she didn't let challenges bring she down.

I learned that love is a great weapon. Love goes beyond mere words and needs to be shown. Mrandys love for John Edward was what moved her to save him. Truly, never underestimate a woman in love.

I learned a lot from the book but my most lesson is self-determination, that in any situation you find yourself you should be able to overcome and continue pushing ahead.

The lesson I learned from the book was from Brandy. Brandy came from wicked parents who disregarded other people's freedom or lives. Brandy was just the opposite and proved that our past does not define us. We can become whoever we are regardless of who our parents are. Growing up, I was often asked what grades my parents went to in school. The guidance would predict each student's outcome by the answer. In return, the school would not expect as much from students with non-graduating parents. I proved them wrong.

The mission the book taught me is that no matter what happens in life, you must always keep your head up and face every scenario or challenge you face. I learned this from Brandy, who resists no matter what and achieves her goals despite being a girl.

Two words; determination and resilience. This book hammers on that and that is a big lesson I learnt from it.

Through reading this work of historical fiction, I gained a lot of knowledge about the abolitionists who fought against the immorality of the slave trade as well as the slave trade itself.

A lesson I learned from brandy is that, you have to push yourself, because no one will do it for you.

In my notes for this book, I wrote a direct quote from the text that resonated with me. Zhang said to Brandy, "A balanced warrior will be aware of who they are protecting as much as who they are fighting.". I had to stop reading and digest his words for a minute. I think sometimes people can get so wrapped up in holding grudges or feeling vengeful that they forget their actions toward their perceived enemies can hurt the ones they want to protect.

Being strong, resilient, never losing courage are some lessons one can learn from Brandy.

I learn that ease is a greater threat to progress in life than hardship because when you are comfortable in a place, you will never think of moving forward compared to when things are sucks.life challenges gives us the courage to progress.

Life can offer many twists and turns. It can be very disappointing at times, and you may feel like giving up, but the fact that you are focused on pursuing your goal should be enough to prevent you from giving up.
