I'll also admit that Brandy is a good example of a strong female protagonist. Not because she's physically strong enough to beat other male characters but because of the strong behavioral qualities that she possesses and displays in the story. Her will is strong and her resilience is inspiring.

I thought that Brandy's character was a great example of what a strong female protagonist is. But what I felt that added a lot more spice and depth to her character was her support system. Her friends and lover and their support of her made Brandy's character even more prominent than she was on her own. I enjoyed her interactions and her strong character a lot.

I spoke about just this point in my review about how she seems to me to be a great female protagonist. Her main motivations do not fall into the trap of being tied to a romance partner, even though romance is introduced for her, and she comes across as very noble after she grows up away from her parents. I personally haven’t seen many other books who nails having such a character as much as this book.

I really admire her strength, steadfastness, and courage. Those qualities are rare to come by today. This can be a guide to females in today's society.

I believe everyone has their weaknesses. It's their ability to work on those weaknesses that makes them strong. I believe brandy is a strong female who persisted despite all the challenges.

I totally agree with you. She’s encouraging character to most females out there. Her strength and courage are admirable, also rare.

I will affirm that Brandy is a good example of a strong female protagonist as shown in the book. The strength she showed when her father and mother were killed. She had to escape with her uncle from being killed. It's truly an act of bravery.

I think Brandy's portrayal was super realistic. She's strong, resilient, determined and can stand up for herself. At the same time, she has her weaknesses, which is what makes her a realistic and relatable character. This is one of those books where fem ale protagonists are written to be authentic and not to satisfy some pre-conceived stereotypes.

I agree that Brandy is a strong character done right. Despite her young age, she endures struggles that would challenge the most seasoned people.

Brandy is an excellent example of this because she was focused and determined. This can be used by females as a guide or template. As a result, I completely agree.

To me, Brandy is the perfect female protagonist. She had her flaws, she had her low moments, but she was strong and determined in ways that I do not think I will ever be. Someone here mentioned that the author did not 'over-feminize' her and I agree. She was not given the perfect feminine looks or features as so many other authors tend to give. But she is everything I would ever want in a strong Pirate Princess

Yes, I definitely think Brandy was well written as a strong female protagonist. She defied some of the typical stereotypes that definitely have me not wanting to continue a story (weak females, overly emotional females who are not able to think through problems because their emotions are too big to manage, always needing help from the alpha man because she can’t do it herself). I liked that Brandy wasn’t portrayed as perfect either - there needs to be a nice balance of a strong, brave independent woman but also room for growth and character arc improvement.

Yes, I believed brandy is portrayed as a strong, resilient female character. She made the story more refreshing because I do not like damsel in distress characters

I think that Brandy was perfectly portrayed as a strong female lead. I often find many authors tend to over-write and over portray them, but I thought she was almost perfect.
