I love the quote that summarizes my nature. That quote is "As you think, you travel; as you love you attract". Such things as travel and loving makes so much impact in me.

My favorite quote mentioned in the book is “The tragedy of life is not death; rather, it is what we let die inside of us while we live” by Norman Cousins. This felt personal and it spoke to me directly. It made me realize that there is so much potential in me but I could let it go to total waste without harnessing it.

“Come to the edge,” he said.
“We can’t, we’re afraid!” they responded.
“Come to the edge,” he said.
“We can’t, we will fall!” they responded.
“Come to the edge,” he said.
And so they came.
And he pushed them.
And they flew.
I liked this quote by Christopher Logue. It shows that many are afraid to try although they have the potential to succeed.

That's a great quote by Norman Cousins, isn't it Chinyere: “The tragedy of life is not death; rather, it is what we let die inside of us while we live” I am glad you pulled that out of my book and pondered it. A quote like that can give you many insights into your own life, and help light up the path for a more joyful and productive future. Thank you, Rob white

I like this because it emphasises on how important it is to live your life happily and joyfully. If not, then living becomes as tragic as death.
Exactly! This is exactly what my favorite quote is, I wrote it out in big letters and underlined in my blog. Indeed, death is not the main tragedy of life, for me the greater tragedy is death in life itself, in which I mean doing something or being idle that does not bring any benefit to you or anyone else.

Mine is "Well, the truth is: you can learn from your frustration, or you can mope around in resignation."

It hits me right at the gut.

As someone who easily gets stuck in a negative spiral, I need to constantly remind myself to put this energy and focus into self-growth and and being more gentle to my inner child.

And yet another of my favorite quotes in my book is Edison's, "If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves." To go through my day, unprepared for what I might do next, knowing it may just blow me away - Now that's feeling alive, through and through :) Rob

This quote is a favourite of mine too. This quote reminds me of wasted potential and missed opportunities, but also of the need to avoid them.

"You will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you" has to be my favorite quote in this book. Even the Bible has said that as a man thinks in his heart so he is. This reinforces the power of positive thinking as a need to fulfill all our dreams.

Thanks Lydia, for mentioning my statement: "Pay attention to what you are paying attention to." Oh, how many times my mind sets me rambling, until I finally do tune in and pay attention to what I am paying attention to. That's when I can intervene if what I am paying attention to is taking me down a negative stream. Thank you :) Rob

My favorite quote from this book is "As you think, you travel. As you love, you attract. You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you. You cannot escape the result of your thoughts; but you can endure and learn, accept and be glad. You will realize the vision of your heart, not the idle wish. You will gravitate toward that which you secretly most love. Into your hands will be placed the exact result of your thoughts; you will receive that which you earn; no more, no less. Whatever your present environment may be, you will fall, remain, or rise with your thoughts, your vision—your ideal.”

This quote had a profound effect on me. Have understood that what goes on in your thoughts is really essential and linked to what happens in your life.

"Why, it's only the movement of my eyes! And here I've been looking for it far and wide! Awakened at last, I find myself not so bad after all." This is my favorite quote from this book, the way it speaks to me is just astounding.

My favorite quote in the book is “The tragedy of life is not death; rather, it is what we let die inside of us while we live” by Norman Cousins. I always remind myself of this quote wherever I am, because most times, I forget that it is important to make the best out of life and be happy.
