I believe that in order to be a master you need to serve. Most people don't want to serve and it shows in the continual failures. I personally don't enjoy it, and I hate that everything is preset.

No I do not believe a man can be free until he has perfect control over himself.

I don't see how can a man truly be free unless he's a master of himself. Yes, a man can be content with who he is, being where he is in life. But, unless he is in complete control of his emotions and desires, he cannot be free.

Well man can be free in what ever u chose to do. I don't define freedom from financial perceptive alone. Man can be free when he is able to leave withing his means and is contended in doing so.

No man is free until he is a master of himself. I love this question and before anyone would answer he or she should ask himself, ARE YOU WILLING TO SARVE?

Very interesting question. For me, I will say NO because. A master has absolute control of everything. You cease to be a master of yourself when you are not free.

I don't think a man that isn't a master of himself will be free. It could be an illusion but he would still be bound to the wishes and rules of other people.

I believe the problem is that the majority of people are unwilling to serve. I think that in order to become a master, one must first serve. Nowadays, very few people desire employment due to the idea of taking orders from others.

In my opinion, I do not think a man can be free if he is not the master of himself. If you do not have your mind in order, there is little hope of having order in your life.

How can a person be free if they are not in control? I think in order to be free you need to be the master of your life and if you are not the master then life is as good as nothing.

Financial security like you put it depends on the perspective. What is secure about an employee that can still sack you when he feels like it? People are going more independent because honestly even though the risk is greater, the rewards are infinitely better.

This is very much confused with personal independence. To be free does not necessarily require one to be a master of himself in todays employment industry. I think the author was referring to an individual being able to take personal decisions.

Everyone has a concept or a way that they define their freedom. If that concept adheres to the larger belief of a man's freedom, then no, a man can't be free until he does master himself. But, for those whose thoughts and concepts don't adhere and are unique, then only they know if they have achieved freedom or not.

I believe that one should first master oneself in case they want freedom. Because when you master yourself, you will discover your capabilities which will help you grow.

It depends on what freedom is to you. Some persons are willing to serve and like to serve. They would not consider themselves as lacking freedom because they can leave whenever they desire.
