My suggestion would be kindlepaperwhite 11th generation. They are compact and have great choices, they just don't offer than much of font size variety.

I have 2 Amazon Fire tablets. I am semi-retired and I work on my laptop. When I fully retire, I don't think I will have a laptop, since these little fire tablets have everything I need. I have a desktop that I only use for a backup so I will keep that. The fire tablets are just the right size to read with. :techie-studyingbrown:

I love the feel of a real book but the kindle is my next favorite; if you have a small tablet, you can download kindle off the web and create a collection of great books.
