Funnily enough, the first version of a Kindle I purchased for myself had such a function. The voice sounded robotic; so I never utilized that capability. I just use my Kindle to read books now.

Definitely agree on the PDF issue. Unfortunately, the PDF is taken and not formatted to take the text inside, so any zooming in/out is done on the entire page, instead of making the font bigger and pushing everything else down.
I also have a kindle, and besides the PDF issue, the Paperwhite version is definitely WAY faster than my previous one. Loading/going to the next page doesn't take as long as before.

I would like to purchase a Kindle Paperwhite. Are there any other good functions we don't know about?

I'd love to be able to group collections of books together, like if for example I'm reading several sagas of books in the same universe, but each of them have their differences, I would love to be able to create a collection with the name of the author and inside different collections with each saga. Or if I have a big collection be able to group books together (I believe kindle does this automatically if you have several books of the same saga when you are in the menu without collections, but I would like to be able to do that myself).
It would also be great to be able to read easily manga on my kindle, whenever I try it just gets all messed up and weird, with pages really small all of a sudden and then several blank pages... I think this is because it's a PDF, but still, they should make it easier
