I don't own an e-reader. The simple reason is I don't need one. Nor do I own a cell phone, tablet, or other common contemporary gadgets. Don't need those either.

I do own a laptop.

I have a kindle.
Back when I bought my first kindle, a Kindle 2, the nook didn't even exist yet. I gave that one to my nephew a couple years ago, and its still working just fine for him. I upgraded to a newer, lighter kindle.
I just purchased a Kindle Fire, but that wont replace my Kindle for book reading. I don't mind reading on a regular screen, like a tablet or laptop for short periods of time, but I can't get lost in a book for hours on end with them like I do the kindle.

I've got a kindle I got it as a gift for Christmas last year and I love it. It's really easy to use and books are so much cheaper.

I have a kindle fire HD. My partner has a kindle keyboard and a kindle paperwhite. I personally prefer my kindle fire HD because I like the book covers and photos in a book to be in colour. I also use it as a computer everyday, I wouldn't be without it now. Ok, my kindle fire doesn't hold charge that long and my partner's kindles last for weeks but I wouldn't change mine for anything. I like how amazon have hundreds of free books to choose from, 100 free bestsellers changes every hour and I have got some genuine bargains there where current books have gone back up to £9.99 2 days later. Not sure if the Nook would have this selection and freebies.

Nook. I started out with a Nook Color a couple of years ago. Since then I have upgraded to the Nook HD+. Personally I think both are great products, but one advantage I enjoy is the SD slot on the Nook (as far as I am aware the Kindle does not have this). I especially like the SD slot for my kids. The extra memory is great for music and movies. I actually got both kids Nook Colors instead of buying one of those car DVD players. This way they do double duty as e-reader and movie player.

I have a Nook color and I love it. I chose the nook over the Kindle mostly because I wanted to stick with a traditional book store and I have always been a fan of Barnes and Noble. When I chose my Nook Color, it was definitely competing with the Kindle as far as features. Since purchasing I haven't had a reason to upgrade to any other e-reader. It still does exactly what I need it to.
All I need is a new book and a place to read it...

I have the new kindle paperwhite and its awesome. I love the good reads option that is available and the fact that you can share quotes from a book you're reading. I also love how I can create my own collections. Plus amazon is my favorite place to buy books!

I have a Nook HD+. I've encountered Kindles before and they are nothing compared to Nook. Kindle was hard to navigate and slow, but I've had nothing but good experiences with Nook. The best ereader app is UB Reader; it will transport all your epubs and pdfs from wherever they are on your Nook and put them in your library. It's easy to navigate when you plug it into your computer, too.

I have a Kindle. I got it because I liked that the Kindle was lighter and had a longer battery life than the Nook. I'm also a shopper at Amazon so it worked out nicely. I love the fact that I can find almost any book and buy it at that moment instead of having to look for it in a store.

I have a Nook. I have a one of the original Nook color and looking to upgrade to something a little lighter. I have a Nook because at the time, the library did not download books that could be read on the Kindle, so it was a no brainer for me. Now that I am looking to upgrade it is more of a struggle.

I have the Nook HD. I started out with the first generation Nook and cried when my husband surprised me with it. Lol.. I wanted a Nook device because it was the first ereader I was exposed to. I love my Nook! I really love that my house isn't cluttered with thousands of books anymore, and the ability to carry 1000 books in my purse is amazing.. I feel like Hermoine with her bottomless bag!!

I have a Kindle Fire HD. I was torn between the kindle and the nook when I was purchasing an e reader. After looking at prices of books on the kindle and the nook I found that the Kindle books on Amazon tend to be better priced than the Nook books. I love Barnes and Noble when it comes to buying books and spending hours in the store, however when it comes to buying online I tend to be more apt to going to Amazon.
I am happy with the Kindle I think that it has more apps available, my mother has a Nook and it is nothing compared to the Kindle.

I just love my Kindle :) I have had it for roughly three years now (a Christmas gift from my husband). I was always an Amazon customer so it did make sense to go with Kindle. I did do some research though, and I believe that I am onto a good thing :) Reading has taken on a whole different feeling since owning the Kindle; I actually seem to read faster than before
