I have a kindle fire so it's more like a computer but I love that I can adjust the screen brightness so I don't actually hurt my eyes with it being too bright.

Me too. I haven't had any issues with my Kindle, but it would be nice to have something with a keyboard or touchscreen instead of just the 5-way. That thing just gets tedious.
Mine has a keyboard and a five way, but it still gets tedious. I'm going to go for a touchscreen next time.

I didn't find any problem with a screen that lights up, and if I wanted a screen like a real book, I would just read a real book.

I had used an lcd screen for a few years and just recently switched to e-ink. Before, I could only read for about an hour before the light would start to hurt my eyes. Now, I can read for as long as I could read a normal printed book. Also, being able to bring the e-ink readers outside is a huge plus. I would highly recommend it.
