I have Kindle Unlimited. I also have Libby app that is for accessing the local libraries for ebooks. That is a bit awkward because you have to wait for someone to bring back the book you want. (like a library in person) And, for some reason, a series you might want to read, they don't have all of them. So, I don't use that hardly any more. Kindle Unlimited is the best because you can have about 20 books out at time. Maybe you find a series, you can always borrow a few and get the next few, no problems. I would be afraid to use some unknown internet source for books. I would stick to the most popular and safe places.

I don't download just from anywhere. That's because I don't trust the source as well as because I also don't want to encourage piracy. But I do download free books from open sources such as Project Gutenberg.

Yes, I read plenty of free ebooks. If you stick to well known and trustworthy sites there are a ton of free books out there. Sites like Gutenberg Project and Open Library offer a ton of free digital books. Other places like Amazon ebooks, Apple Books, and Barnes & Noble ebooks periodically offer free (or greatly discounted) ebooks. I’ve never had problems with malware or other security issues using the above platforms.
Another source of “free” ebooks is your local library. I love my library and they have a great selection of digital books. If they don’t have a copy of a specific book you can often put in a request for your library to acquire one.

Actually yes! I only do this from Amazon when the ebook is available for free. I really enjoy getting to read books from a variety of genres and I feel relatively comfortable downloading ebooks from there.

No I don't download free e-book because it's a bit skeptical. I mean I'm not judging people who download e-book it's just that there might be a hacker or something that might steal you information. I just want to atay cautious since it's internet and everyone can steal you private information in just one click.
