I have a Kindle, because everyone else in my family was getting them and I was jealous.

I personally have a Kindle, although it was a Christmas gift. It's honestly used much more for academic purposes and much less for e-books... I still love the feel of paper over a brightly-lit screen any day.

I don't have either a Kindle or Nook because my family is too cheap to buy one. But I have the Kindle app on my iPod Touch and iPad. That way, I can read ebooks anytime I want.

I own a Kindle and love it! Originally, I got a Nook with a gift receipt. I returned the Nook and purchased the Kindle with no regrets. I love the e-reader's portability and page-like-screen. I've built quite a kindle book collection but every now and then I get this urge to hold a physical book and feel the pages between my fingers. So - I still go to bookstores, libraries and read traditional books.

I remember when e-readers started to gain popularity and people wondered if it would be the end of traditional books, but I can't imagine hardcover or paperbacks going away. Humans are tactile creatures and we need the touch, the feel of a page every now and then. And sometimes there's a book so awesome that you must have the hardcover version in your library.

I have a Nook. I don't think it would have made a difference but it was a gift and I wanted it specifically because it was a Nook color. That way I would be able to read magazines on it in color not black and white.

I have a nook that my sister gifted me for my high school graduation. That was about three year ago, and I've only read about three books from it. Sorry, I just rather read from an actual book haha

I was given a Kindle for Christmas. My husband has a Nook because he got a deal on it. He bought a refurbished Nook tablet for my daughter, but it wouldn't hold a charge, so he got a Kindle Fire for a good price. He exchanged the Nook tablet and if the replacement works well, he will probably give it to our other daughter.

I have a Nook. I shopped at Barnes and Noble previously and I also felt that the e book selection was better with nook then kindle. When I bought my nook I also liked the appearance better than Kindle. Now I hardly use my nook and just use the nook as on my phone and tablets.

I have a Kindle, mainly because I don't want to be tied to just my reader. I like the fact that I can install kindle on my PC, Phone, Laptop and Surface 3 without any issues. I also am an Amazon Prime member so I have the added benefits of free books from time to time. Currently I would say I have around 600 books on my Kindle account.

I have and love my kindle! With this one little device I have access to all sorts of wonderful old books, like Trollope's Barchester series, that I would never in a million years find locally in print!

I treated myself to a Kindle Touch two years ago for my birthday, one of those from-me-to-me gifts. I just love them because you get exactly what you want . Being the proud owner of a Kindle has opened my world to authors I would never have read, it's fantastic. My Kindle travels all over with me as I am a real bookworm and cannot pass a day without reading. I love the size of my Kindle and the reading experience is soft on the eye.

Kindle is also the most popular of the two products in South Africa. To be honest, I have not seen any adverts locally for Nook. Other e-readers are Kobo and Gobii which are locally available and many of my friends uses the Kindle app on their Apple devices.

I received my Kindle three years ago as a gift. It is so easy to order books online and have them delivered instantly. Love it!!
