I have a Kindle, I got it 3 years ago from my dad - I was sceptical at first but it's actually quite good to use. I also don't think it's right that people think that they have to choose between printed books and ebooks, because they don't. I have a Kindle, I read a lot on it, but I also read printed books because I just love the feel of them in my hands. But an e-reader can be more practical in a lot of situations - it's lighter, fits in your bag easily, can read lying down without your arms getting tired etc.

I have a kindle, but I haven't used it in a few years. I loved the fact that you could get books from the library and it's great for books you might not want to keep but other than that I just prefer the feel of a real book.

I have a Kindle. I love using it while I am traveling. I only download free books. The rest of my books I buy at sales or borrow from the library.

I have one of each. An older model Kindle and a Nook touch. I like both devices although I still enjoy the feel of paper.

I got the Kindle Fire after constant moping and hinting and running to it at the store. My husband bought it for me that first Christmas that it came out :) The books off of Amazon are cheap, fast to download and store and super convenient for my on the go lifestyle. I also loved the apps and the Web capability. I use it all the time. I recently put a few digital disney movies on there for my daughter for those desperate times and plane rides. I've been able to have so many more books to read as well as easy access, so I don't have to be so choosy getting books since I don't have to pay shipping, and worry about regretting my purchase since the loss isn't that great at all.
That said, I do buy my favorite books in physical copy! I still love the traditional book! I also buy audible books for my absolute can't live without favorites.

I have a kindle because their is a lot more if a variety on the kindle e books compared to nook and the prices are better. I can also do a lot of other things like buying music or movies or downloading that also have a wider variety compared others.

Kindle - mostly because of the relationship that it has with the Kindle Store already in place on the device.

Although, it is quite dangerous when I get a bit trigger happy and buy more books that I can hope to read in a reasonable amount of time.

I have a nook. I like it because I can slip the little thing in the purse and have a book to read where ever I am.

I love my Kindle 3. Amazon tends to have very reasonable ebook prices and frequent sales on newer titles.

I don't have a nook or a kindle. I read everything from my android smartphone. I don't have to worry about carrying an extra electronic device. I have several reading apps for free books, as well as Amazon Kindle. I do have an ancient e-reader, but I tend to find them all too bulky to transport easily day to day. However, I don't have much experience with any of them to weigh the pros and cons of nook or kindle.

RE: Do you have a Nook or a Kindle? Why?

I started off with a nook, but I returned it because it didn't seem user friendly to me. However, it could have been that I just was not ready to give up the feel of a real book in my hand. So, when I did cave in I saw the Kindle and was hooked. I love the ease of use of my paper white and I have made peace by purchasing my real feel-good in my hands books at Barns&Noble and the rest on Kindle. I must be a tactile person I still can't write 100% on my computer, I just have to put pen to paper!

I've had both a Kindle and a Nook. I used to be very pro Kindle due to it being easier to operate until I recently bought the Samsung Nook. It is awesome!!!!! and I'm starting to find that books in generally are a slight bit cheaper on the Nook.

I have a kindle, I love that you can share books with your whole family we have 3 daughters and when 1 of us purchases a book we can all download it, I also like that Kindle has an app, in case I am stuck waiting for a meeting or appointment I can read on my iphone and then when I return to my Kindle at home it asks if it should sync to last page read... :D
