Since my house is stuffed with books and magazines. I am trying to shift to eBooks. Using Pinterest to save stuff I would have clipped from magazines. But it is a very slow and pain filled journey.

I just got a new phone, the Galaxy S4. The screen on that thing is incredible.

It's full HD 1080p: 1920x1080 pixels, ~441 ppi on a 5-inch screen. Reading eBooks on it is divine. The text looks so smooth, better than paper.

This, coupled with the ability to easily play music or rain sounds to accompany the book, is really pulling me away from reading paper books lately. I still enjoy paper books, but the style and convenience of this new phone is truly hard to beat.

And I must take this space to give my full recommendation to the eReader app Cool Reader. It isn't necessarily the easiest to just pick up and use, but after you spend some real time customizing it (there are many options) I really feel like it's the best eReader app out there.

I use my Nexus 10 tablet for reading. It has both the Kindle and Nook applications on it. I love the thing. The only con is the fact that I have to buy all of my favorite books in digital format, even though they are currently sitting on my dusty shelves. However, I love the fact that I only need to lug around my tablet when I go out of town. It beats having to stock my luggage with paperbacks/hardbounds that will likely not survive the trip.

I definitely prefer holding a physical book in my hands, but I know that sometimes I will have to suffice with just having to hold a reader instead of an actual book.

I would honestly have to choose the paper books. The feel of the pages turning and the anticipation of what's to come on the next page is always what gets me. I've tried to read on an Nook that my mom bought me but it didn't feel right.

I'm from the Philippines, and I just can't find some books that I want to read. So having an e-reader is more convenient and cheaper for me. Plus I got to choose from a wider list of books in just a few clicks. Don't get me wrong. I love real books and I still buy books whenever I can. But I prefer e-readers since they're lighter and easier to bring anywhere.

I would always choose a paper book over an ebook. I like the feel and smell of a hardcopy/ paper book - new or old. Somehow I find pleasure and pride in having a well stocked old fashioned library (with a physical presence) with lots of good books in all shapes and sizes with their unique story to tell, well thumbed and personal and rather feel that ebooks are cold, distant and indifferent (- I hope this makes sense  )

Ebooks are ok when you are traveling u don't need a night light or anything and of course there is the thought about cutting down trees for paper to print more books/hardcopies which isn't really eco friendly so considering that and ease of use and space and portability it is practical and feasible to read a ebook.

Still, practicality aside I have a nostalgic connection to hardcopies/paper books and would opt it over ebooks anytime. :)

I like ebooks just because they are extremely convenient. You don't have to leave your home to start enjoying a new book. They don't really compare to holding an actual book though.

I read Ebooks, but I, personally, love having a book in my hands. I love the feel of the pages between my fingers! There's just something magical about holding a book in your hands. Sure, there are good points to ebooks--they tend to be on the cheaper side, you can take them with you much more easily, you can read them on your smartphones now--but, just having the books on your shelf, able to see them all the time and remember the adventure you went on when you read it...that, to me, is just so much more meaningful and personal than en ebook.

If I'm at home I prefer a physical book but I also like having access to my library when I'm traveling. Being able to almost instantly purchase books doesn't hurt eithet.

I must admit that I didn't want an eReader ever, but talking to a customer at work she convinced me to at least try it. While an eReader has some distinct advantages imho due to never having to lug boxes and boxes of books from place to place there is nothing like holding a paper book whether it's a hardcover or a paperback in your hands and being the first ever to crack open the book. It's also not the same having an author sign an eReader, ya know?

For the longest time I absolutely refused to get an Ebook. I consider myself a traditionalist and love the collection of books on my shelves. But times have changed and there are plenty of good reasons why I love my Kindle Paperwhite:
-my wife no longer complains when I stay up late at night reading a book
-laying in bed and reading a monstrous hardback is not very comfortable
-my Kindle fits in my back pocket and goes with me everywhere I go
-I can upload my own writing onto my Kindle and review my work

That being said, I now use my Kindle to filter out the books that I do not plan to purchase for my library. Ultimately I want my library to be representative of the books I like, rather than just a collection of the books I bought.

In my view, Each of them have both merits and de-merits. The usage of these books are depends upon the situation. I am very much interested to collect the various books and keep in my bookshelf other way I also interested about e-books which is good for long journeys.
