I read pretty fast. I have a Kindle, but I also read lots of paperback books. What I have noticed with an e-reader is that I flip pages more quickly, and that maybe because of that, the button, I read more quickly with Kindle...but it is just an impression, and it definitely depends on the book too.

I find that I read faster on my Kindle as I can still read when the light is off so my sister can still go to sleep whist I am reading.

Lately, I have been reading the ebooks much faster. That's only because I do my reviews on my Kindle app though and I really want to get through those books as quickly as possible. I don't like the authors to be waiting a long time for a review, so that's why I try to read them at least within a week. The paper and hardbacks take me a little longer because I usually read more than one, and I am just reading them to read them. I am not usually in a hurry when I am reading paper format, unless a specific book is being turned into a movie, and I want to see if it will be any good.

I feel like I read faster with an e-book. When I have a book in my hand, it's hard to hold it in the perfect position to let me read with ease.

I read faster with paperback and slower with an e-book , funnily enough I thought it would be the other way around but when I'm reading on my kindle each page will sometimes be covered in definitions above words which I find very distracting.

I don't think I read faster in either paper or ereader formats. I do believe I read for a longer period of time on an ereader. I have become used to the devices light weight, whereas the weight of a paper book always varied by the size of the content. Also having this paperwhite has been nice since I don't need a lamp, flashlight, or other light source to juggle while reading before bed.

I probably read faster on a Kindle or tablet. I find it easier to hold and manage. I suppose that may improve reading speed a skosh.

There is nothing like the smell of an actual book that draws you into the story! It takes me a lot longer to read an e-book as i don't find myself as connected to a device as i am to a book!

I feel I read e-books faster. I think it gives you more privacy (it seems I always find someone who has read the same book and what to have a book club discussion before I finish reading) and it allows you to pick it up wherever you may be. I tend to read everywhere...doctors offices, at the gym when waiting on the class to start, home in bed. Just various places, it allows flexibility.
