I read probably the same speed in both but it's easier to tell my speed on paperback since when I read by nook I use the app on my phone, where the screen is smaller.

I think, probably, paperback. Just something about holding an actual book It just seems like you can more easily fall into it.

I tend to finish ebooks faster for a bad reason. Most of the inexpensive ebooks are self-pubbed, total crap, and I start flicking pages across the screen with barely a glance, just in case there's info I need to follow the plot. Often several chapters go by without saying anything worth pausing to read. Generally takes me less than two hours to read an e-book. When I can scrape up the money for a real book, it can take me a whole afternoon to get through it. Longer if it's a more serious book like Europe Before Rome.
You can't put a rope around the neck of an idea.

I think that paperback is definitely quicker, I seem to need more time to digest words when on an e reader

No difference in reading speed. Maybe it's quicker turning pages on the kindle but you have to do it more often.

I read e-books at about the same pace as a paperback. I have noticed that there are times that I just want to hold a book over an e-reader.

I'm not sure that there is a difference in pace, but I agree with previous posts that reading a paperback is more intimate and there is a greater sense of achievement when finishing.
I also would say how I don't like how you can't flick back on an e-reader to check names/or what happened.

No real difference though I am more prone to put down an ebook than a paperback.

I tend to read e-books faster than regular paper books now. Just because I always have access to my phone and/or tablet wherever I go whereas I usually only read whatever paper back I am reading at certain times which I like because I feel like I get to really enjoy my paper book more than I used to.

I read a lot faster using an E-Reader just because it's more convenient for me. I'm in college and have a lot of down time, but I don't like carrying extra books on top of the tons I carry with me already. Since I'm already carrying my ipad or laptop for notes an e-reader is just so much easier for me.

I read faster on my Kindle than I do paperbacks. It's just easier for me as well...not having books taking up so much space. I love the fact that I can have so many books on my Kindle & yet not have a total disaster in my apartment.
