I chose to purchase a kindle as the amazon selection seemed the best and the screen was the best to my eyes. I have a tablet but tend not to read on it. The screen kills my eyes over long term.

I have a first gen kindle and a kindle fire. I love them both, but can't stick with the ereader fully. I've been doing paper books for a while now, but I'll switch back to the kindle soon again.

I use an Asus Transformer and only because I want a tablet that has features like those of a notebook. I use it to supplement book reading, though, by searching for particular phrases, etc.

I haven't switched fully to e-books, but they probably make up the majority of my reads now. I still prefer a paper copy for some of my favorite authors as well as for nonfiction books. I like to mark my nonfiction up the old fashioned way--with a pencil and dogears. :)

I have an ipad and I love that it is so portable when travelling instead of lugging several books with me. I still love the feel and smell of a REAL book in my hand and have a vast library of books I have read over the years and can't part with. But at 61 and loving travel, I am finally doing what the kids keep telling me and keeping up with the times.

I've collected books since I was a child. I have four massive bookshelves in my front hallway filled to the brim with books.

While I love paperbacks, I do all of my reading on ereaders now. The convenience and portability is perfect. I can read anywhere at anytime on my smartphone.

I've always loved collecting books, but I'm a kindle convert now. It's convenient. There's a store on it! It fits in my pocket.

Life is so much easier now, isn't it? How did I ever survive before this technology? The day I could load so many books onto one device was as thrilling as the day I could load so many songs on an MP3 player. Goodbye Walkman! :)

I honestly didn't think I would ever switch over to ebooks. and then my girlfriend bought me a kindle and that was it. It was like the first time I owned an ipod. There really is no going back!!!

I'm still trying to figure out how I survived before the Internet. And now I've dated myself...

The smell, the feel, the act of finding that book in the bookstore are appealing to many. I get that I guess, but for me the readers are just too convenient. I still like book stores and I love the smell of all that premium coffee most offer in the side cafe. I've been known to take my reader into the store just for coffee.

I have a Fire, a nook, and an iPad. I love them all and use the Amazon app on my iPhone way more than I ever thought I would. With the app loaded on the iPad you have access to anything you buy through Amazon. Its all just too easy and I'm happy for it.

95 percent is on an ereader for me.
My current reading tools are a samsing 7.7 and I recently bought a kindle fire
As others have commented I also have a lot of the free ebooks.
Also on really cold nights if it nice to have the reader scroll itself and all I have to do is stay warm in bed and reading without having to 'turn pages'

I think for me being able to see a larger variety of e-books beats having to physically search for books to buy at a bookstore. I was more limited in my purchases before I began reading e-books; it takes time to look for similar books in a bookstore, where e-books [specifically itunes in my case] come with a list of similar books one click away.

My heart will always belong to physical books, because I just love how paper feels, and admire artwork of book covers in print. I have a huge collection of books (well, huge for me and my little apartment space), and have actually gone back to trying to trace all my childhood books and ordering them for my collection.

I use my ipad mostly for reading blogs and my magazine subscriptions, Ie. National Geographic, Time Magazine, etc. It started off with it just being convenient, but nowadays these magazines include amazing video/photography footage that you can't replicate in print.

I started reading some books on my ipad, simply because some of the great classics are available for free download, and I am definitely behind in my personal literature studies. I do like reading on the tablet a lot. I can actually read at night, next to my boyfriend in the dark, but not have the lights on as to not disturb him!
