I was about to post that I've been reading ebooks for awhile now and am finding it enjoyable, though maybe not as enjoyable as having some pages to turn, and then I read this post (above). And I wish I would've come up with a witty remark like this one. Love it!cheeseburger wrote:I don't like em either, and I think it's because if someone annoys we while I'm reading a real book, I can always give them a whack over the head with my book and go on reading without worrying about damage suffered to my book, but that's not really an option with e-books....
I dont like ebooks.

Yeah...but at least you'd have something to read while you died of thirst...or internal injuriesrssllue wrote:Ebooks rock if you are running out of physical space for the real thing like I am. Avalanche! Help me!
Only actual paper for me thanks...
Maybe I'll go for e-books sometome down the road...but I can't imagine ever prefering an e-book to a physical book.
What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.

Then, by all means, don't get an ereader. Me? I live in Mexico, read in English, and an ebook reader is a life-saver. My sister likes hers when she travels.Cnc_theft_auto wrote:I don't like ebooks. I don't know why, I just don't like them...

I am the same way, when I’m at home I occasionally use my kindle but for the most part it’s more convenient to use the app on my phone.flickerandfail wrote:I own a kindle and I have to say, I don't use it too much. I actually use the iphone app for the kindle more than the actual kindle. I still prefer actual books, too. For me, I think it's the act of turning the page, and as odd as this may be, the smell of a new book.
I agree about the physical feel and smell of a boos as well, the old ones also have a wonderful smell
