I was about to post that I've been reading ebooks for awhile now and am finding it enjoyable, though maybe not as enjoyable as having some pages to turn, and then I read this post (above). And I wish I would've come up with a witty remark like this one. Love it!

I like to read online, but I like reading from book more than reading online. I like to purchase books online.

Ebooks rock if you are running out of physical space for the real thing like I am. Avalanche! Help me! :o

I do like the readers since they hold all of my books all of the time. When I travel I take my entire collection with me. If I am reading a new book and I just can't get into it, I do not have to physically get up and get another book - I merely choose another book from my library without moving a muscle. Readers have a lot of advantages over books but I get that they do not feel like real books. Maybe in the future technology will find a way to overcome that flaw.

Yeah...but at least you'd have something to read while you died of thirst...or internal injuries

Only actual paper for me thanks...
Maybe I'll go for e-books sometome down the road...but I can't imagine ever prefering an e-book to a physical book.

I thought the same before I bought my kindle. Now I don't know how I managed before it. It was the best buy of my life. I love physical books, but I love ebooks as well and find reading on my kindle very comfy.

I used to feel this way, and honestly I still prefer traditional books, but e-books have really grown on me. I like the convenience and the fact that e-books usually cost less than hard copies. If I'm not sure that I'll enjoy a book, I can just download it on my Kindle. If it turns out that I love it, then I can buy a paper/hardback version.

I like the feel of holding a book and turning each page.I like the smell and text of the book. For me every book has it's character and history.I have a nook but I don't use it at all because for me it is so impersonal and my eyes start hurting after looking into a bright screen for a long time.
P.S.I can never find the right page on an e-book.

Then, by all means, don't get an ereader. Me? I live in Mexico, read in English, and an ebook reader is a life-saver. My sister likes hers when she travels.

I love the instant gratification of ebooks--if I want a book, I can get it right away--but I've found that ebooks don't keep my attention nearly as well as books do. Plus, I love to write in the margins and highlight.

Well your hate is appreciated, but books should be liked at all costs. Often there are circumstances when a person cannot afford a paperback so they have to use an eBook.

I personally prefer physical copies of books to read. The screen of my phone or computer hurts my eyes.

I am the same way, when I’m at home I occasionally use my kindle but for the most part it’s more convenient to use the app on my phone.

I agree about the physical feel and smell of a boos as well, the old ones also have a wonderful smell :techie-studyinggray:
