Another Reason to Love E-Books

Post by Chelsey Coles »

Hi! I just realized a very important reason to love e-books:

You can read them outside at night!!!! 8)

Does anyone else do this or would you try it?

Huh, way to find a positive! I personally prefer actual books to e-books for many reasons, such as e-books hurt your eyes after a while and it's just not as fun to hold a tablet as it is to hold a book, but I guess it does make it easier to read at night. I think I will try it sometime. I love reading, so why not!?

True, you don't need an external light source so you can read an ebook wherever you want!

If reading ebooks hurt your eyes that means that either your reader isn't good enough - the issue might be with its hardware or software - or you need glasses.

E-books are great. Why do so many people hate reading e-books? I mean I am a little bit puzzled by a lot of avid readers' attitude towards E-books. I do prefer physical books, but E-books are also great.
Heart! We will forget him!
You an I, tonight!
You may forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.

When you have done, pray tell me
That I my thoughts may dim;
Haste! lest while you're lagging.
I may remember him!

Some people have a degree of paper fetish so they always mention how they feel the paper in their hands, even its smell. I have a pratical approach: my space for paper books is limited and ebooks are generally cheaper.

I also love E-books because they are easy to read without paying.

Another reason to love them is how it's so easy to look up words you don't understand! It's just one long click away

Yes, absolutely! And then moments later you make a note and return to your story easily.

Don't get me wrong, I love smelling paper, but nothing beats curling up in bed at night and reading an eBook with the lights out. I think I would make a good possum 🙃

I definitely do enjoy reading them with the lights off in my room and a string of lights i have around my window on. It’s a nice little ambience!

Haha yes! Don't forget to play dead when someone catches you reading at 4am (speaking from experience...)! :D

I agree with you. I have recently joined the e-book movement. Unfortunately, I was one of those avid readers stuck in the past. I wouldn't even touch an ebook! Only paper/hardbacks. But now I realize that ebooks are better for note-taking and the ever-growing library that would surely take over my apartment. :wink2:
