Help

Post by beebee216 »

Hello my lovely humans,
I have recently joined the Review Team aspect of this website :) After using the reader on my laptop to download and read the book, I quickly realized how little I liked reading this way. I'm an OG book nerd. I love the feel of a book in my hands, the curl of the pages, and yeeesss even the smell. If your going to say you've never smelled a book before, you're obviously lying. We ALL know that s@#t is addicting. Almost as addictive as reading itself. So my question is, which system do you prefer to read on? Kindle? Nook? Ipad? Help me out! While I personally will always prefer the printed word to a screen, I realize I need to get with the times. Specifically if I will be continuing to review downloadable books. Thanks so much :D

I perfer using the Kindle app on my iPad but I have used Nook, and iBook. Sometimes, it is just a matter of playing with the font size or how bright the screen is.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I suggest you get a kindle. It is much easier to read on than the pc. I have it and find it great. 8)

I prefer reading on my kindle rather on my laptop. However, if there is a book that is in an incompatible format, I will usually read it on the iBooks app on my iPad.

Kindle Paperwhite all the way! You can highlight, look up word definitions, take notes, make the screen brighter or dimmer, and make the text larger or smaller. I love mine. It isn't perfect and I do miss the book smell, for sure.

Kindle Paperwhite! I have had several Nooks and Kindles. There is no glare. I love that it is small, but great size and you can expand the font size. I prefer a non iPhone or iPad reading experience as I don't get interrupted with texts or pop-ups. It is also very easily to track books with the Goodreads app automatically. I am new to this specific site, but I see that you can import your Goodreads books into this app as well.
